The Federation of Lofa Associations in the Americas (FLAA) is a nonprofit, charitable diaspora organization uniting citizens and communities originating from Lofa County, Liberia, living in North America.
Since 1991, FLAA has worked to strengthen unity among the Lofa diaspora, preserve cultural heritage, support community members, and promote initiatives that contribute to the development and well-being of Lofa County, Liberia.

Leadership
James Saywala Kennedy
President
James Saywala Kennedy serves as President of the Federation of Lofa Associations in the Americas. He was elected during the organization's biennial national convention held in Columbus, Ohio, in June 2025.
A Legacy of Unity
FLAA was established in 1991, during a period when many Liberians in the United States were deeply concerned about the situation in their homeland. The organization grew from discussions among Lofa citizens who envisioned a united national association dedicated to serving their people.
Today, FLAA continues that tradition of unity, service, and commitment to Lofa County.
